Social Media for Upskilling Unemployed and Low Skilled Adult Workers for Digital Society (LINK-UPS)

With a new Erasmus Plus project funded by the European Union, the five countries are preparing for an international cooperation to ensure the integration of unemployed and low-quality adults over the age of 45 into the digital world. In the project titled " Social Media for Increasing the Capacity of Unemployed and Low-Quality Adult Employees in Digital Society (LINK-UPS) " to be continued until 2020, Consultis from Portugal as the coordinator country as well as the University of the Ege University from Turkey and Italy (P.RI.MA.FORMA), Spain (RED2RED), Bulgaria (Marie Curie Association) and Portugal (RUMO) will support this cooperation as partners.



The start-up meeting of the project was held in Portugal in November 2018. The meeting where the joint contract was signed was held with the signature ceremony between Dr. Antonio Silva Dias representing Consultis from coordinator country of Portugal and Prof.Dr. Necdet Budak the Rector of Ege University. The ceremony was also attended by Portugal and Bulgaria the partners of the EU Erasmus Plus SEYMM Youth Project, which is currently being coordinated by the university as well as the young guests of the project's 3rd Educational Learning Mobility activity.

In the first phase of the project, the training needs of the unemployed and low-qualified / educated adults will be determined in the partner countries. In the next stage, the training program and tools will be designed to develop skills for the digital world. In this process, it is aimed to establish an online training platform compatible with mobile tools for the program. At the end of the project, adults over the age of 45 are expected to integrate into digital world with the digital skills and technical equipment they have acquired and to develop their careers by catching new digital opportunities.
