May 5, 2021, İZMİR (Ege Agency) - Egeli successful academician and cartoonist Assoc. Dr. Cem Güzeloğlu returned from the Engelsizmir National Cartoon Competition with an honorable mention. Ege University Faculty of Communication (EÜİTF) Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. Güzeloğlu won the honorable mention for the work she participated in.

 

Ege University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak and Communication Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Dilek Teamcı received the honorable mention in the national competition Assoc. Dr. They congratulated Cem Guzeloğlu and expressed their satisfaction. Finalists of the "Prejudice and Empathy" entitled Engelsizmir National Cartoon Contest, organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which set out to be the pioneer of a life without barriers, have been announced. In the competition where 340 cartoons of 147 participants were evaluated, 12 cartoons in the "Adults" category and 4 cartoons in "Youth" were finalists, Ege University Faculty of Communication Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. Cem Guzeloğlu received the honorable mention.

 

"The way to live life is possible with empathy"

 

Assoc. Dr. Cem Güzeloğlu “The way to live life together, as it should be, is possible with empathy, without segregation. Regardless of any special situation of all individuals, the difficulties of life can be easily overcome if it is foreseen as a social need. In addition to the honor of being a "Scientific Committee Member" in this organization that adds value to our Izmir for the fourth time, I was honored for the award I received as an artist with this competition. It was very important that the ideas and lines that are more valuable than each other draw attention to the common problem of the society ”.

 

Ahmet Aykanat won the first prize, Nuhsal Işın won the second prize and Sait Munzur the third prize in the Engelsizmir National Cartoon Contest. Aşkın Ayrancıoğlu, Cem Güzeloğlu and Alper Bulut were awarded the honorable mention awards. The winning works of the contest held within the scope of the "4th International Engelsizmir Congress" will meet with cartoon lovers at various events and exhibitions.
