(21th October 2021) İZMİR (Ege Ajans)- "External Stakeholders Meeting" was held within the scope of quality and accreditation studies at Ege University Faculty of Communication, one of the most rooted communication faculties in Turkey. Within the scope of Ege University's 2023 vision; Communication faculty academicians and regional representatives of local and national media attended the meeting, which was organized to increase quality standards in education, research and development, contribution to society, internationalization, digitalization and management systems.

 

Stating that they came together with the representatives of public and private media organizations in order to improve the quality of the education given at Ege University Faculty of Communication and to evaluate the teaching processes, Dean Prof. Dr. Dilek Team, “As you all know, we are one of the first faculties in our country to be accredited with all our departments as a result of the evaluations made by ILEDAK. We continue our efforts to make our education and training with proven quality, student-oriented practices, social responsibility projects with priority to contribute to society, our management system and our renewed technological infrastructure sustainable. Today, we are together to establish more effective collaborations between our faculty and the sector, to share information, and to evaluate the scope of the education provided, especially our quality and accreditation studies. We will meet with our stakeholders more frequently in line with our roadmap determined in our strategic plan with the aim of becoming an internationally recognized communication faculty.”

Emphasizing that they have prepared their course programs with precision in line with the current conditions and the expectations of the industry, Dean Tooling said, “Communication technologies, media and forms are changing day by day. As one of the faculties that accept students with the highest score according to the Higher Education Institutions Exam placement results, we follow the change in information and communication technologies and take care to train our students according to this change. In this context, we plan our academic, administrative and technological infrastructure according to the conditions of the day. We analyze the contents of faculties with international recognition in the field of communication by conducting global surveys in the preparation of our faculty's curriculum. We prepare the course contents of our programs in a format that supports each other, which combines theory and practice. At this point, we are an institution that sets an example for other faculties. Our students have the opportunity to get to know and use information and communication technologies and mass media closely, while reinforcing the theoretical education they have received through Ege Ajans, Radio Ege Campus and EU Television, which continue their activities within the Media Application and Research Center. They learn many practices in the workshops, studios and practice units of our faculty, that is, in the kitchen. They learn theory and practice together. At this point, our Rector, who is with us from the arrangement of the physical conditions of our application areas, to equipping our technical infrastructure with modern devices and personnel support. Stating that they attach great importance to internationalization studies, especially quality and accreditation, Dean Team Manager said, “The epidemic process we have been going through for the last two years has made the importance of communication education even more indispensable. Communication area; From health to agriculture, from public diplomacy to basic sciences, from engineering to education, it is at the focal point of all branches of science and emerges as a needed discipline. As the Ege University Faculty of Communication family, we always aim to carry our quality-oriented perspective to better points by constantly improving and developing it in common mind, unity and solidarity. We want to increase our national and international cooperation within the scope of our faculty's accreditation and quality assurance studies. To meet more often by receiving the opinions, suggestions, demands and expectations of our external stakeholders; We wish to carry out academic, cultural and social projects and programs together.”
